chip contains the Astronomical Positioning Image provided by Dr. Rene
Goerlich at his website http://www.docgoerlich.de/
The L4 v1.05 version is the very latest official release of the software (Released Apr 10th 2007) .
The file is programmed on a 100ns 27c040 Eprom
which will be provided (so you do not need to send anything out) .

Celestron Ultima 2000 Y2K (Year 2000) Firmware fix.
Almost all U2K telescopes prior to 1999 were affected by the Y2K date bug.
Prior to the Y2K Firmware update the date input was two digits. So when you put in 01 for 2001 it defaults to 1901/02 etc.
Open up the hand controller and locate the ROM chip. If it is version 15.4 or earlier it is not Y2K compatible and planets will be an issue.
If it is 15.5 or later it should be good to go.
This firmware will correct this problem.
